Kyonpyaw Map Poster & Print
Kyonpyaw lies in the Ayeyarwady Region of Myanmar, in the vast delta of rivers and channels that spreads across the south of the country. From above, the town is a modest cluster of streets on flat land. Waterways and farm tracks radiate into the surrounding paddy fields, which reach far in every direction.
Life in the delta depends on water. Rice farming shapes the landscape, and rivers and creeks carry people and goods between towns and villages. Kyonpyaw serves as a local centre for the farming communities around it, linked by roads and waterways to Pathein and other towns in the region.
A Kyonpyaw map poster shows the town and the watery country around it. The street network is compact, and the channels give the print a flowing structure. In monochrome, the wide paddy fields become open areas crossed by thin paths. It is a quiet, honest picture of a delta town and suits families with roots in the area.

Compact town centre
The streets gather in a small, dense cluster, creating a clear focal point within the broad open land of the delta.
Paddy fields
Rice fields stretch in every direction, divided by embankments and paths that add a fine texture to the outer parts of the map.

This map is a fitting keepsake for people from Kyonpyaw and the Ayeyarwady delta, especially those who now live far away. Its simple composition keeps the focus on the town, the water and the land.
