The long outline
The island is many times longer than it is wide. Its narrow profile gives the map a strong vertical line in the Danish waters.

Langeland Map Poster & Print
Langeland, literally the long land, lies in the South Funen Archipelago in Denmark. The name fits. From above it is a slim island around fifty kilometres long and only a few kilometres wide. It runs north to south between the Great Belt to the east and the island of Tåsinge to the west.
The landscape is gently rolling farmland, divided into fields and small woods and scattered with villages. Rudkøbing, the main town, sits on the west coast, where a bridge and causeway connect the island to Tåsinge and onward to Funen. On the east coast, Spodsbjerg has a ferry across the Great Belt to Lolland.
Tranekær, in the north of the island, is known for its castle and park, and the southern tip is set aside largely for nature. A Langeland map poster shows the island's lean silhouette and its quiet grid of country lanes.

Rudkøbing crossing
The main town faces west toward Tåsinge, and a bridge and causeway link it to the rest of Funen's islands.
Farmland pattern
Country roads and field boundaries cover the island in a fine, even pattern, broken only by villages and woodland.

Langeland is a summer island for many Danes and a cycling destination for visitors. A map of it holds long days along its coasts. The narrow vertical form is well suited to a tall frame.
You can add a title, a subtitle and a coordinates line, such as a summer house address or a year. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
