Limbang Map Poster & Print
Limbang lies in the north of Sarawak, Malaysia, in the valley of the river that shares its name. Its position is unusual: the Limbang district separates the two parts of Brunei, dividing the Temburong district from the rest of the sultanate. On a map of the region, that wedge of Malaysian territory stands out immediately.
The town grew along the riverbank, and the map still reflects that. Streets run parallel to the Limbang, the densest blocks sit near the waterfront, and later neighbourhoods reach inland. Around the town, the river winds through low, wet ground and mangrove country, so the channels and shoreline create intricate lines that contrast with the straighter streets.
Limbang has a place in regional history: in December 1962, during the Brunei revolt, British Royal Marines recaptured the town in a river-borne assault. A Limbang map poster shows the setting of those events and of everyday life since: a riverside town whose shape still follows the water it depends on.

Riverside core
The densest part of town sits close to the water, with newer streets and neighbourhoods spreading inland from the old waterfront.
Between two Bruneis
Limbang district divides Brunei into two parts, a distinctive piece of Borneo geography that makes the region's map instantly recognisable.

The map resonates with people from Limbang and the wider Sarawak interior, with Bruneian neighbours and with readers of regional history. It is a precise record of a river town at a border crossroads.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps adding Sarawak or a family date. Blueprint brings out the river, and Paper gives it a softer tone. Download six print sizes for $9 or order a matte print with an optional frame.
