Madhurampur Dehri is part of the Dehri urban area in Bihar's Rohtas district, on the west bank of the Son River. The Son is wide here, with a broad sandy bed that changes a lot between the dry season and the monsoon. Dehri has long been a crossing point. A railway bridge carries the main line over the Son, and the Grand Trunk Road passes through the area.
