Crocodile River
The river winds along the edge of the city. Its course is drawn as a smooth line that shapes the boundary of the urban area and sets off the streets beside it.

Mbombela Map Poster & Print
Mbombela, long known as Nelspruit, is the capital of Mpumalanga and lies in the Crocodile River valley in South Africa's Lowveld. The terrain is hilly, with granite outcrops rising between the suburbs, and the map reflects it. A fairly regular central grid on the valley floor gives way to winding residential streets that follow the slopes and ridges around it.
The city is a common stop on the way to the Kruger National Park to the east, and citrus farms and subtropical orchards surround it. The Mbombela Stadium, built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, has roof supports shaped like giraffes. The Lowveld National Botanical Garden sits where the Crocodile and Nels rivers meet.
A Mbombela map poster brings together the grid of the centre, the rivers cutting through the valley and the looping suburban roads on the hills. The N4 highway runs through the frame toward Maputo in one direction and Pretoria in the other. The poster suits anyone who calls the Lowveld home, and visitors who began a safari here.

Hillside suburbs
Residential areas curl around granite hills and ridges. Their streets form looping, irregular patterns that contrast with the straighter lines of the centre.
Botanical garden
The Lowveld National Botanical Garden lies at the confluence of the Crocodile and Nels rivers. On the map it is a green space along the water, traced by paths and river bends.

Mbombela is where many people start or finish a trip to the Kruger, and home to many others. A map of its hills and river valley calls up Lowveld heat, citrus orchards and long drives east, whichever part of that story is yours.
Choose your own title, Mbombela or Nelspruit, add a subtitle, a date and the coordinates, and select Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with or without a wooden frame.
