Ouled Mimoun Map Poster & Print
Ouled Mimoun lies in Tlemcen province, in northwestern Algeria, on agricultural plains east of the city of Tlemcen. During the colonial period the town was known as Lamoricière. It was laid out on a regular plan, and that plan still shows clearly from above: straight streets meet at right angles to form even rectangular blocks.
Around the town, the land is used for farming. Fields and orchards spread outward in geometric plots, and roads connect the town to Tlemcen and the wider region. Hills rise in the distance, but the town itself sits on fairly level ground.
An Ouled Mimoun map poster shows the clarity of a planned settlement. The central grid is neat and readable. Newer streets expand outward from it, and the surrounding farmland adds a quieter linear pattern, so the whole design holds together as a balanced, ordered composition.

Outward growth
Newer neighbourhoods extend from the original grid in less regular patterns. They show how the town has grown over time.
Farmland plots
Fields and orchards surround the town in geometric parcels. They add subtle texture to the outer parts of the map.
