Patdi Map Poster & Print
Patdi is a town in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat, close to the southern edge of the Little Rann of Kutch. It was once the seat of a small princely state, and its older quarter still shows a compact, irregular pattern of lanes. From there, the town spreads out into newer streets before the land flattens into open ground.
The Little Rann is a vast seasonal salt marsh, and around Patdi much of it is used for salt farming, with rectangular pans stretching across the flats. The area is also known for the Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary, which protects one of the last populations of the Indian wild ass.
A Patdi map poster sets a small, dense town against one of the most unusual landscapes in India. The close lanes of the centre and the wide, empty margin of the Rann make a striking contrast on paper.

Salt pan geometry
Towards the Rann, the land is divided into rectangular salt pans, a precise pattern of lines that looks almost architectural on the poster.
Edge of the Rann
The Little Rann of Kutch opens beyond the town as a wide, flat expanse, giving the map a large, quiet space along one side.

Patdi speaks to people from Surendranagar, families connected to the salt trade and travellers who came to see the wild asses of the Rann. Its mix of dense town and open salt flat makes a quietly unusual poster.
