Village clusters
Houses and lanes collect into compact knots scattered across the district. Together they make a pattern that looks more like a constellation than a single town.

Pecangaan Map Poster & Print
Pecangaan is a district in Jepara Regency, on the flat lowlands near Java's north coast. It does not have a single urban centre. From above, it looks like a network of villages joined by lanes and roads, with rice fields and irrigation channels running between the settled areas.
The district is known for Troso, one of its villages, where ikat weaving is a long-standing craft. It sits in a region also famous for wood carving. On the map, the craft shows only indirectly: as dense clusters of houses and workshops along the lanes, surrounded by cultivated land.
A Pecangaan map poster brings out this rural-urban pattern. Main roads cross the district and settlements gather along them, with smaller lanes spreading into the fields. In black and white, the watercourses and field boundaries give the print a delicate, detailed texture.

Main road spine
The principal road through the district connects it with the rest of Jepara Regency. Most of the settlement lines up along its length.
Fields and channels
Irrigation channels and field edges run between the villages. They add fine, repeating lines that give the print a textile-like quality.
