Pyawbwe Map Poster & Print
Pyawbwe sits in the flat, dry heart of central Myanmar, in the Mandalay Region south of Meiktila. The map shows a town strongly shaped by transport: the main road and the railway run through it from north to south, and the streets form a loose grid on either side. Beyond the town, fields and small villages spread across the plain.
The dry zone is the country's historic agricultural heartland, with a climate much hotter and drier than the coast or the hills. Farming, particularly of crops suited to low rainfall, supports the surrounding villages, and the town serves as a local market and administrative centre for its township. Its position on the national transport corridor has long connected it with both Mandalay and Yangon.
A Pyawbwe map poster is a straightforward, honest portrait of a working town: a strong central axis, blocks of houses and shops, and the open plain all around. It suits people born here who now live in Yangon, Mandalay or overseas, and it gives a small place the same careful treatment as any large city.

Loose street grid
Residential streets branch off the main axis in a roughly rectangular pattern, becoming sparser and more open toward the edges of town.
Dry-zone plain
Flat farmland surrounds the town on all sides, leaving wide empty space on the poster and emphasising the compact shape of the settlement.
