Deeply indented coast
Rinca's many bays and peninsulas give it a complex, jagged outline. It is one of the most detailed island shapes in the whole Komodo archipelago.

Rinca Island Map Poster & Print
Rinca lies in Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands, between Komodo Island to the west and Flores to the east. Its coastline is highly irregular. Long peninsulas and deep bays give it a shape that is hard to describe but easy to recognise on a map. Narrow straits separate it from its neighbours, and small islets are scattered through the surrounding water.
Inland, the island is mostly dry, hilly savanna with patches of forest and mangrove along sheltered bays. There are no main roads, just a few small villages and a ranger station, so the map is almost entirely coastline. That coastline, however, is intricate enough to carry the composition alone.
Rinca is part of Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is one of the few places where Komodo dragons live in the wild. Many visitors see the lizards here rather than on Komodo itself. A Rinca Island map poster shows the landscape these animals inhabit, rendered as a fine, branching outline.

Straits on both sides
Narrow channels separate Rinca from Komodo and Flores, so at wider framings the neighbouring coastlines close in around it.
Scattered islets
Small islands surround Rinca's coast, adding a sprinkle of fine shapes that sets off the main island on the page.

For divers, travellers and wildlife lovers, Rinca is where they met the dragons. The map keeps that trip on the wall in the form of a coastline dramatic enough to need no explanation.
Add Komodo National Park as a subtitle or write your own, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose among five styles. Buy the $9 digital files, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
