Setakamachi-takayanagi Map Poster & Print
Setakamachi-takayanagi is a district in the former town of Setaka, now part of the city of Miyama in southern Fukuoka Prefecture. It lies on the flat plain that stretches toward the Ariake Sea. On the map, it combines a small cluster of irregular streets with the wide, open grid of the surrounding farmland.
The Chikugo plain is dense with water. Creeks, irrigation ditches and small rivers wind between the fields, and the paddies are divided into neat rectangles. Older roads wander gently between farmhouses, while newer ones run straight. The hills to the east mark the edge of the plain.
A Setakamachi-takayanagi map poster shows the texture of rural Kyushu at close range. The winding lanes of the settlement, the straight field boundaries and the fine web of waterways each add their own layer. The result is detailed without being crowded, and it looks especially refined in the Paper and Classic styles.

Water web
Creeks and irrigation channels thread across the farmland toward the coast. They add fine, curving lines between the straight field boundaries.
Village lanes
The settlement's own streets are narrow and gently winding. They stand in contrast to the regular fields around them and form the poster's focal point.
