Sibanicú Map Poster & Print
Sibanicú lies in the province of Camagüey, east of the provincial capital, in the broad, level interior that makes up much of central Cuba. The Carretera Central, the long highway that runs the length of the island, passes through the town, and from above it forms the clearest line on the map, with the rest of the settlement arranged around it.
The town itself is modest, laid out as a compact set of blocks close to the regular pattern typical of Cuban towns. Beyond the last streets the landscape opens into pasture and farmland, the plains for which Camagüey is known as a cattle-raising province. Roads and tracks thin out quickly, leaving a lot of white space around the centre.
A Sibanicú map poster is about proportion: a small, orderly town set against a wide, open field. That simplicity suits the minimalist style well. It is a fitting piece for anyone with family roots in the municipality, or for those who have travelled the Carretera Central and remember the quiet towns strung along it between Camagüey and the east.

Compact town blocks
The centre is a short grid of rectangular blocks, easy to read on the page and clearly separated from the surrounding countryside by a sharp edge.
Open plains
Around the town, the flat terrain of Camagüey leaves broad open areas crossed only by a few rural roads, giving the composition plenty of breathing room.

For Cubans abroad and their families, a map of a hometown like Sibanicú is a strong, personal image, a way to keep the shape of familiar streets in view far from the island. It also makes a thoughtful gift for relatives.
You can write the title in Spanish or English, add a subtitle and edit the coordinates line, then choose one of five styles. Order a printed poster on matte paper, with or without a wooden frame, or download the $9 HD files.
