Suai Map Poster & Print
Suai is the main town of Cova Lima municipality, on the south coast of Timor-Leste. Here the mountains of the island's interior drop to a wide coastal plain, and the town spreads across that flat land a short way inland from the Timor Sea. The map shows a loose, open settlement, with scattered blocks, wide gaps between buildings and roads leading toward the shore and the hills.
In recent years Suai has been at the centre of national development plans for the south coast. These include an airport and a supply base tied to Timor-Leste's offshore petroleum ambitions. Rivers and seasonal streams cross the plain and appear on the map as winding lines. The coastline forms a long, almost straight edge along the bottom of the frame.

Coastal plain
The flat land between the mountains and the sea lets the town spread out loosely. Blocks and roads are widely spaced, so the composition feels open and calm.
