Old lane network
The centre of Vaso is a close mesh of narrow streets and small open spaces, the densest part of the map and the easiest to recognise for anyone who has walked there.

Vaso Map Poster & Print
Vaso is a town in Kheda district of Gujarat, in the Charotar region between Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The land here is flat and heavily farmed, and from above the town appears as a dense cluster of streets sitting among a patchwork of fields and roads linking it to nearby villages.
The older part of the town has narrow lanes and joined houses, the pattern of a traditional Gujarati settlement where streets often end in small squares or around a temple. Ponds and water tanks, typical of towns on these plains, make pale open shapes within or beside the built area. Newer houses and roads spread out from this core.
A Vaso map poster is a quiet way to keep this place on the wall, especially for Charotar families who have moved elsewhere in India or abroad. The fine line work of the old lanes contrasts with the simple straight roads running out into the countryside.

Town ponds
Open water bodies near the town appear as smooth pale shapes on the poster, breaking up the density of the streets as ponds do in many Charotar towns.
Roads across the plain
Straight roads lead out across level farmland towards neighbouring towns and villages, leaving generous white space around the settlement in the finished print.

For many people from Charotar, the family home in the ancestral town remains important even after years abroad. A map of Vaso keeps the lanes, the pond and the way home on a wall in London, New Jersey or Ahmedabad.
Add a family name, a village address or a date to the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
