Wādi Map Poster & Print
Wādi lies in the Kalaburagi district of northern Karnataka, on the flat, dry expanse of the Deccan Plateau. The town grew up around the railway, and the tracks still dominate the map. Several long lines meet at the junction and spread out across open country, while the town's streets fill the spaces between them.
The region's limestone has long supported a cement industry, and industrial sites with their own sidings and service roads give parts of the map a planned, rectangular look. Residential areas develop more irregularly, with lanes clustering around the station and along the main road.
A Wādi map poster is defined by lines of transport and work. The railway sets the order, industry adds blocks and grids, and the open plateau surrounds it all with plenty of white space. It is an unusually graphic map for a town of its size.

Industrial layout
Industrial land near the town appears as large, regular plots crossed by service roads, contrasting clearly with the smaller residential lanes.
Deccan plateau
Around the town, the flat plateau is lightly settled, so roads and rails extend a long way across open ground before reaching the next settlement.
