Village clusters
Settlements appear as tight, rounded clusters where houses and garden trees fill every plot, spaced across the plain like stepping stones and linked by short connecting roads.

Wedi Map Poster & Print
Wedi lies in Klaten Regency, on the broad agricultural plain that stretches between Yogyakarta and Surakarta in Central Java. From above it is not a single compact town but a network of villages, each a dense cluster of roofs and trees, separated by irrigated fields. Narrow roads link them in a loose mesh, and small watercourses carry runoff from the volcanic uplands to the north.
Mount Merapi, one of Indonesia's most active volcanoes, stands some distance to the north-west, and its ash has shaped the fertile soils that make this plain so intensively farmed. Rice paddies divide the land into small, slightly irregular plots whose edges follow irrigation channels rather than any planned grid. On a map, these fields read as open space, and the settlements between them as darker, organic islands.
A Wedi map poster captures a rural pattern that is typical of Java yet different in every place: the rhythm of hamlets, the roads that thread between them, the thin lines of streams. It suits anyone with a family connection to Klaten, and it looks especially good in lighter styles where the open fields keep their calm.

Irrigation lines
Channels and small rivers run down from the volcanic slopes to the north, and roads and field boundaries often follow them, giving the map a gentle directional grain.
Open plain
Between the villages, rice fields leave wide areas with few drawn lines, so the poster balances busy settlement patterns against generous, quiet space.
