The Arieș river
The river curves across the whole map from west to east, dividing the town into a historic northern side and flatter southern districts with rail lines and workshops.

Turda Map Poster & Print
From above, Turda lies in the broad valley of the Arieș, which crosses the town from west to east and pulls the street pattern along its banks. The historic centre sits on the rising ground north of the river. Newer housing estates and industrial areas spread over the flatter land beside the water and along the main roads toward Cluj-Napoca.
The town has deep roots. The Roman camp of Potaissa stood here, and in 1568 the Diet of Turda passed an edict on religious tolerance that is often cited in European history. Today most visitors come for Salina Turda, a former salt mine turned into an underground attraction on the northern outskirts.
A Turda map poster shows a place shaped by water and stone. The winding Arieș, the older streets climbing toward the salt hills, and the roads heading west toward the dramatic Turda Gorge make a composition with more movement than a typical grid town.

Salt mine district
North of the centre, the land around Salina Turda rises into irregular hills, and the roads there loosen into winding lanes instead of the town's straighter blocks.
Road to the gorge
West of town, routes lead toward the limestone walls of Cheile Turzii, where the settled street pattern gives way to open countryside and scattered villages.

Turda suits anyone with ties to Cluj County, whether they were born here, studied nearby, or remember a first descent into the salt mine. The river line gives the print a natural centre that reads well from across a room.
Add a personal title, a subtitle with a meaningful date, and your own coordinates line. The map comes in five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, so it can sit warm or cool on the wall.
