The national highway between Bengaluru and Hyderabad passes the town. Its long, steady line gives the map a clear axis, with local roads and newer neighbourhoods branching off it.

Kortið
Anantapur sits on the Deccan plateau in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, a district headquarters surrounded by red soil, rocky outcrops and farmland. From above, the town reads as a dense core of short, irregular lanes that thins quickly into newer layouts, with open land visible on every side. No large river organises the plan, so the roads do that work instead.
The main highway linking Bengaluru and Hyderabad runs past the town, and much of the newer growth has followed it and the roads that branch toward neighbouring towns. The railway adds a second long line across the plan. Scattered tanks, the small reservoirs typical of this dry landscape, appear as pale shapes at the edges, a reminder of how carefully water is stored here.
The district is one of the driest in southern India and is widely known for groundnut farming, which sets the rhythm of the surrounding countryside. An Anantapur map poster shows the town at the point where compact streets meet that wide agricultural plain. It is drawn in fine black lines with plenty of white space, which suits a place defined as much by its open horizon as by its buildings.
The national highway between Bengaluru and Hyderabad passes the town. Its long, steady line gives the map a clear axis, with local roads and newer neighbourhoods branching off it.
Near the centre the street network tightens into short, bending lanes. This is the densest texture on the sheet, and it shows the town's older, unplanned layout.
Small water tanks and broad unbuilt ground surround the town, so the poster has generous white space that reflects the semi-arid plateau around it.

Hví Anantapur
For people from Anantapur, or anyone who studied or worked there, the map is a quiet record of familiar roads: the route into town, the lanes of the centre, the edge where the fields begin. It works well in a study or hallway where you want something restrained.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a date that matters to you. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a printed poster, framed if you like.
