Ado-Ekiti Map Poster & Print
Ado-Ekiti is the capital of Ekiti State, in the uplands of southwestern Nigeria. The state's name is usually linked to the word for hills, and the landscape around the city fits. On a map the urban area spreads across rolling ground, with roads curving around rocky outcrops and green spaces.
The older heart of the city grew around the traditional palace and market, and its streets there are dense and irregular. Main roads leave the centre toward Ikere, Iyin and other Ekiti towns, and newer neighbourhoods and government areas are more spread out along them. On the map, areas of open land within the city often mark hills or rock too steep to build on.
Ado-Ekiti has long been the seat of the Ewi, the traditional ruler of Ado. It became a state capital when Ekiti State was created in 1996. The city is home to Ekiti State University and other institutions. An Ado-Ekiti map poster shows a city shaped by its terrain, where hills set the pattern of streets and settlement.

Roads through hills
Main roads curve between hills and outcrops as they leave the city, drawing flowing lines rather than a strict grid across the poster.
Open ground and outcrops
Rocky hills and green areas leave gaps in the built-up area, giving the map a varied rhythm of dense streets and empty space.
