Al Qanţarah Map Poster & Print
Al Qanţarah stands on the Suez Canal in Ismailia governorate, north of the city of Ismailia. The canal runs through the town in a perfectly straight line, splitting it into Qantara West on the African side and Qantara East on the Sinai side. From above the contrast is sharp: irrigated land and settlements to the west, open desert beginning to the east.
The name means the bridge. The place has long been a crossing point between Egypt and the Levant, on the ancient coastal route toward Palestine. Today the Al Salam Bridge, a high cable-stayed road bridge opened in 2001, crosses the canal nearby and carries traffic into Sinai. Ferries still link the two halves of the town.
An Al Qanţarah map poster turns this geography into a strong, graphic design. The canal is a single ruled line through the frame, with a town on each bank. Roads, the railway and irrigation channels run parallel to the water. Few small towns have such a clear, recognisable shape from above.

Two banks, two towns
Qantara West and Qantara East face each other across the water, linked by ferries. Each has its own street pattern and its own edge toward the land beyond.
Al Salam Bridge
Near the town, a high cable-stayed bridge carries the road across the canal into Sinai. On the map it adds a fine crossing line over the water.

Pourquoi Al Qanţarah
Une carte qui a du sens
Al Qanţarah connects two continents, and that gives the poster meaning beyond geography. It speaks to people from the town, to those who served or worked along the canal, and to anyone drawn to the history of this crossing.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white for sharp contrast or Sand for a softer desert tone. The $9 download includes six sizes in 300 DPI PNG and PDF, and framed prints are available.
