Itanhém river mouth
The river winds across flat ground and meets the ocean beside the town. Its looping course is the most expressive line on the map.

Alcobaça Map Poster & Print
Alcobaça lies on the far southern coast of Bahia, the stretch known as the Costa das Baleias. On a map the town sits at the mouth of the Itanhém River. The river curls through low ground to the sea, and the town's streets form a modest grid on the land beside it. A road follows the shoreline in both directions past beaches and coconut groves.
The Costa das Baleias takes its name from the humpback whales that migrate to these waters each winter to breed. Offshore lies the Abrolhos archipelago and its marine park, reached by boat from towns along this coast. Onshore the landscape is flat, with sandy soils, the river's curves and a few roads leading inland.
An Alcobaça map poster is defined by water on two sides. The river channel and the long, gentle coastline hold the small street grid between them. It makes an uncluttered map where the natural lines are strongest, suited to a calm room.

Atlantic coastline
A long, smooth shore runs along the eastern edge of the town. It gives the poster a clean boundary between land and sea.
Town grid
A small, orderly network of streets fills the land by the river mouth. It is the town's compact core, set against open coast and farmland.

Pourquoi Alcobaça
Une carte qui a du sens
Alcobaça appeals to anyone who knows southern Bahia's quiet beaches, whale season or the boat trips out toward Abrolhos. The river and coastline give the print a relaxed, natural composition.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a holiday year. Then choose one of five styles; Sand and Blueprint both suit the coast. You receive a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF for each of the six sizes.
