Valley setting
The town sits on lower ground between ridges, so its outline follows the valley rather than spreading evenly, which gives the map a clear direction.

Aznā Map Poster & Print
This Aznā lies in Lorestan Province, in the mountain country of the central Zagros, between the region's larger towns. The land is made of long ridges and fertile valley floors, and from above the town reads as a cluster of streets held within that landscape rather than dominating it. Roads follow the lower ground, and the built area adapts to the shape of the land.
The Zagros valleys of Lorestan have been farmed for a very long time, and the patterns around the town show it: irregular fields, orchards and channels bringing water down from higher ground. The seasons change sharply at this altitude, with snow on the ridges in winter and green valley floors in spring.
An Aznā map poster from this location shows a town closely shaped by its terrain. The streets gather in a modest core, a few connecting roads run out along the valley, and the paper around them stays largely open. It is a restrained, quiet image for anyone who knows the particular light and space of the Lorestan uplands.
