Planned township
Residential sectors with regular streets and grouped buildings show the town's origin as a mining settlement. It looks tidier than an older bazaar town that grew without a plan.

La carte
Bacheli Map Poster & Print
Bacheli is in the Dantewada district of southern Chhattisgarh, at the foot of the Bailadila range. These hills hold some of India's richest iron ore deposits, and the town grew up largely as a township for the mines run by the National Mineral Development Corporation. Its layout reflects that origin.
On a map, Bacheli has a clearly planned character. Residential sectors have regular streets and quarters, public buildings are grouped together, and roads lead up toward the mining areas on the ridges. Around the town, the ground rises steeply into forested hills, and the street network stops where the slopes begin.
A Bacheli map poster shows how industry and landscape meet. You see the orderly township on the lower ground, the winding haul roads climbing the Bailadila hills, and the empty, rugged terrain between them. It is an unusual subject for a wall map, and a distinctive one.

Bailadila range
The iron-ore hills rise sharply beside the town. On a wider frame, their steep, sparsely roaded slopes take up much of the map.
Roads to the mines
Winding roads climb from the township toward the mining areas. They add long, looping lines that show how closely the town is tied to the hills.
