Barbosa Map Poster & Print
Barbosa lies in the south of Santander, Colombia, in a mountain valley along the Suárez River. On a map, the town has the typical form of an Andean settlement. There is a regular grid of blocks around a central plaza, fitted onto the flatter ground near the river. Around it, the land climbs steeply, and the roads twist as they head into the hills.
The town is a market and transport hub for the surrounding farming region, which is known for sugar cane, fruit and the guava sweets associated with this part of Santander and neighbouring Boyacá. Its roads link the valley with Tunja to the south and with the rest of Santander, so Barbosa is a regular stop on regional routes.
A Barbosa map poster captures the contrast between the ordered grid in the valley and the free, winding lines on the slopes around it. The river adds a natural curve along the edge of town, and the bridges mark the main crossing points. It is a small, clearly defined composition that fits a mountain setting.

Suárez River
The river runs along the valley beside the town and gives the map a winding natural edge. Bridges mark where roads cross it.
Mountain roads
Outside the valley floor, roads bend sharply to follow the steep slopes, a clear contrast with the straight streets of the centre.
