Barreiro do Jaíba Map Poster & Print
Barreiro do Jaíba lies in the north of Minas Gerais, a semi-arid part of Brazil where the caatinga and cerrado meet. The region is known for large irrigation projects drawing on the São Francisco basin, which have turned dry land into orchards and fields. On the map, that shows as a patchwork of rectangular plots around the built-up area.
The town itself has a straightforward street layout, with blocks laid out along the main roads and newer streets filling in at the edges. Rural roads run straight across the flat terrain, linking farms and settlements. The regularity of the fields and the openness of the land give the surroundings a calm, geometric character.
A Barreiro do Jaíba map poster shows a working town in an agricultural landscape shaped by water and planning. In black and white, the street grid and field boundaries echo each other. It is a simple, sincere image of a place in the Brazilian interior, and a meaningful gift for people who grew up or farmed here.
