Bartow Map Poster & Print
Bartow is the county seat of Polk County in central Florida, and its centre follows the tidy grid of an older Southern courthouse town. Streets run in straight lines from the historic courthouse square. Brick commercial blocks give way to residential streets lined with oaks, and past them larger parcels, highways and open land spread outward.
Water shapes the landscape around the town. Central Florida is dotted with lakes, and the Peace River begins close to Bartow before winding south toward the Gulf of Mexico. On a map the river and its wetlands form soft, irregular shapes against the regular town grid. The area is also known for phosphate mining, which has left its own marks on the land further out.
The town is named after Francis S. Bartow, a Confederate officer. Its old courthouse, built in the early twentieth century, now serves as a history centre. A Bartow map poster works well because the grid in the middle and the wetlands at the edges show so clearly how the town was built on this ground.

Peace River headwaters
The Peace River begins nearby, and its wetland margins trace loose, organic lines that contrast with the straight streets of town.
Lake country
Central Florida's scattered lakes appear as smooth, rounded shapes around the town and add calm open areas to the print.

Pourquoi Bartow
Une carte qui a du sens
Bartow has deep roots for many Polk County families, from courthouse employees to people who grew up under its oak-lined streets. A map print is a quiet way to mark that connection, and it also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who has moved away.
