La carte
Batang Map Poster & Print
Batang is a town in the Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country of the eastern Sichuan Basin. The land here is neither flat plain nor high mountain but an endless sequence of low ridges and shallow valleys. From above, the town's streets fit into that landscape, bending around slopes and following the contours instead of forming a grid.
Around the centre, the map fills with small features: farm roads tracing the ridge lines, ponds and reservoirs in the hollows, and clusters of houses scattered across the countryside. It is a busy, fine-grained pattern, very different from the open emptiness of a desert or mountain map, and it rewards close looking.
A Batang map poster brings out that detail. The town's compact core sits among curving roads and small water bodies, and the whole print carries the texture of a closely farmed hill landscape. It makes a considered gift for anyone from the town or from the wider Chongqing countryside.

Ponds and reservoirs
Small ponds and reservoirs sit in the valley hollows around town, appearing as scattered shapes of water between the roads and fields.
Compact town core
The centre of Batang forms a denser knot of streets where roads meet, standing out clearly from the finely patterned countryside around it.
