Main road core
The town centre lines up along its principal road, and the densest streets follow this axis. That gives the map a clear line through the middle.

Bedong Map Poster & Print
Bedong is a town in the Kuala Muda district of Kedah, in the flat lowlands of northwest Peninsular Malaysia. On a map it grows along its main road. Shophouse streets gather at the centre, and housing estates spread out from it. Around the town, land is divided into plantations and fields, and Gunung Jerai, Kedah's best-known mountain, rises to the north.
The area has deep roots. The Bujang Valley archaeological region, where the remains of temples and trading settlements more than a thousand years old have been excavated, lies close by. Today Bedong is a local centre between larger towns such as Sungai Petani. It serves the surrounding farming communities and has grown as new residential estates have been added.
A Bedong map poster shows the usual layout of a Malaysian district town. There is a linear core, a scatter of newer estates with their own internal loops, and a rural setting that fills the rest of the frame. It is an understated map, and it carries the particular feel of Kedah's countryside.

Housing estates
Newer residential areas sit off the main road as compact clusters of looping streets, each with a visible internal pattern of its own.
Gunung Jerai nearby
The mountain to the north dominates the local landscape. Wider framings of the poster show the lowland giving way to its forested slopes.

Pourquoi Bedong
Une carte qui a du sens
This poster suits people who grew up in Bedong, families spread between Kedah and the cities, and anyone who knows the road past Gunung Jerai. It is a modest, personal map that belongs in a home rather than a gallery.
Write your own title, add a family name or year in the subtitle, and set the coordinates line as you wish. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand each give the same streets a different finish.
