Bielany Map Poster & Print
Bielany is a district in the northwest of Warsaw, stretching from the Vistula riverbank inland toward the edge of the Kampinos Forest. Its map is shaped by greenery. Bielany Forest occupies a large section along the river escarpment, and wide parks and allotment gardens break up the residential areas, giving the district an unusually open pattern for a capital city.
In the forest stands the Camaldolese monastery and church, founded in the seventeenth century, whose historic grounds give the area its name. Bielany is also home to the Academy of Physical Education and to Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University. At its northern edge, the Młociny station ends Warsaw's first metro line.
A Bielany map poster brings out the contrast between built and green Warsaw. Prewar villa streets and postwar housing estates form structured blocks, while forest and parkland sweep through as large open spaces. The Vistula defines the eastern edge, with bridges crossing to the right bank and the escarpment tracing a long, soft line above it.

The river forms the district's eastern boundary, with bridges and the green riverbank giving the composition a strong natural limit.
Housing estates
Postwar residential estates and older villa streets form distinct clusters, laid out with generous space between blocks and around parks.

Pourquoi Bielany
Une carte qui a du sens
Bielany residents often speak of it as a district apart, calm and green, with forest close at hand. A map of its streets and woods suits those who live here, grew up here or studied at one of its universities.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with an osiedle, a street or a year. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir makes the forest shapes especially strong.
