Billericay Map Poster & Print
Billericay sits on high ground in south Essex, and the map shows it clearly: the old High Street runs along the ridge, and newer residential streets spread down the slopes in curving closes and crescents. The older core is narrow and linear, while the post-war estates around it form looser, rounded patterns that fill the land toward the surrounding fields.
The town is best known for its connection to the Mayflower. Several people linked to Billericay sailed on the 1620 voyage to America, and the town's name was later given to Billerica in Massachusetts. Today it is a commuter town with a direct rail line to London, and its station and railway cut a clear line through the southern side of the plan.
A Billericay map poster shows the ridge-top spine, the rail line and the green spaces that break up the housing. Norsey Wood to the north-east and Lake Meadows near the centre appear as open areas in the street pattern, giving the town a balanced, legible shape on the wall.

Norsey Wood
An old woodland on the north-eastern edge. On the poster it appears as a large unbroken space where the streets stop, a quiet counterweight to the denser centre.
Lake Meadows
A park with a lake close to the town centre, visible as an open pocket among the surrounding residential roads and a familiar landmark for locals.

Pourquoi Billericay
Une carte qui a du sens
For people who grew up in Billericay or commute from it to London, the map is a portrait of everyday routes: the walk up the High Street, the way to the station, a path through the woods. It also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone with Mayflower family history.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a street or a moving-in date, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand give the ridge-top streets a softer look.
