The railway line
The line toward the Chinese border runs straight through the town, with sidings and depot areas beside it. It is the heaviest, most defining feature on the map.

Borzya Map Poster & Print
Borzya is in Zabaykalsky Krai, in the far southeast of Siberia, on the Daurian steppe near the borders with China and Mongolia. The landscape around it is open grassland: rolling, mostly treeless and extending in every direction. Against that openness, the town is a clearly defined grid of streets, sitting beside a small river and, above all, the railway.
The railway is the reason for the town's shape. Borzya is a junction on the line that runs from the Trans-Siberian toward the Chinese border crossing at Zabaykalsk. The tracks, sidings and depot areas cut through the map in long, straight lines. The residential streets are laid out parallel and at right angles to them, in the orderly style common to Siberian railway towns.
A Borzya map poster brings out this strong geometry: the heavy line of the railway, the regular blocks of the town, the thin curve of the river and the wide empty steppe around it all. The composition is spare and clear, like the landscape. For anyone who has lived or served here, the grid and the tracks will be instantly familiar.

Orderly street grid
Residential streets are laid out in regular blocks aligned with the railway. The grid is typical of Siberian railway towns and gives the poster a clean structure.
Open steppe
Rolling, mostly treeless grassland surrounds the town on all sides. The empty space it leaves makes the town's outline appear sharp and self-contained.

Pourquoi Borzya
Une carte qui a du sens
Borzya is often a place people remember from a posting, a railway job or a childhood in the steppe. A map of it keeps the tracks, the grid and the wide horizon together in a spare image that suits a modern wall.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with years of service or a family name. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir and Blueprint suit the railway geometry.
