The São Francisco
The river runs past the town as a wide, confident band. On the poster it is the dominant shape and splits the map into two distinct halves.

Buritizeiro Map Poster & Print
Buritizeiro sits on the west bank of the São Francisco River, directly opposite the city of Pirapora. From above, the two form a pair divided by the wide channel of the river. A bridge links them, and the town's streets spread back from the water in a grid that loosens as it reaches the open land of the northern Minas plateau.
The name comes from the buriti, the tall palm that grows along the wetlands and veredas of the Brazilian cerrado. The municipality covers a large, mostly rural area crossed by tributaries and long straight roads, and its identity is closely tied to the river, which has carried boats, trade and stories through this part of Minas Gerais for centuries.
A Buritizeiro map poster puts the river at the centre, where it belongs. The broad water, the crossing and the town gathered on the bank make an unusually balanced composition, with the São Francisco drawing a firm line through the middle of the frame.

Bridge to Pirapora
A long bridge crosses the river to Pirapora. It is a single fine line on the map that joins two towns sharing one riverfront.
Cerrado roads
Away from the river, straight rural roads head out across the plateau and give the edges of the map a sparse, open rhythm.

Pourquoi Buritizeiro
Une carte qui a du sens
People hang this map to remember the river: the crossing, the banks and a town that looks across the water at its neighbour. It is a strong, simple image that works well in large formats.
Add your own title, a date or a short note in the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir gives the river a particularly clean contrast.
