Central crossroads
The town grew around a junction of main roads, and the densest streets cluster where these routes meet, forming the commercial heart of the map.

Butajīra Map Poster & Print
Butajira lies in the highlands of central Ethiopia, south of Addis Ababa, near the western edge of the Great Rift Valley. It is a market and administrative centre for a farming region, and from above, it shows a town that has grown outwards from a central crossroads, with main roads leading off in several directions.
The centre has a denser grid of streets, while further out, blocks become larger and less regular, with compounds and gardens between the houses. Beyond the edges, farmland covers the gently rolling ground, and the landscape drops away towards the Rift Valley lakes to the east.
A Butajira map poster shows a highland town in its setting: a clear central structure, a looser pattern at the edges, and roads running out into the open countryside. It is a calm, balanced composition, and the land around the streets is part of the picture.

Expanding edges
Newer neighbourhoods spread outwards in larger, looser blocks, with compounds and gardens that give the outskirts a softer texture than the centre.
Highland farmland
Fields and scattered homesteads cover the rolling land around the town, opening towards the escarpment of the Rift Valley to the east.
