Cacoal Map Poster & Print
Cacoal lies in central Rondônia, along the BR-364 highway that opened up the western Amazon to settlement in the second half of the twentieth century. On a map, the town is defined by that road: a long, straight line running through the urban area, with a regular grid of streets extending outward on both sides.
Like many towns in the state, Cacoal grew quickly from agricultural colonisation, and its layout reflects deliberate planning rather than centuries of slow growth. Blocks are square and consistent, streets meet at right angles, and the edges of the town give way to fields and pastures cut into rectangular plots.
A Cacoal map poster brings out the clarity of that plan. In black and white, the highway spine, the orderly street grid and the patchwork of surrounding rural land form a precise geometric image, a portrait of a young town built on the frontier of the Brazilian interior.

Planned street grid
Streets follow a regular rectangular pattern across the urban area, giving the map a clean, measured look typical of towns founded during colonisation.
Rural patchwork
Beyond the built-up area, roads and property lines divide the land into long rectangular plots, extending the geometric pattern into the surrounding countryside.
