Sahel hills
Gently rolling ground shapes the older road network. Streets curve along the slopes and ridges that separate the commune from the coast on one side and the plain on the other.

La carte
Cheraga Map Poster & Print
Cheraga lies on the Sahel, the band of low hills west of Algiers between the Mediterranean coast and the Mitidja plain, a few kilometres inland from the sea. From above, an older centre with winding hill roads sits beside large new residential districts laid out in blocks. This reflects decades of growth as the capital has spread westward.
The commune was once farmland, with vineyards and fields, and is now closely tied to Algiers. Main roads link it to the city centre and to neighbouring communes such as Dely Ibrahim and Staouéli. On a map, dense new neighbourhoods sit alongside wide roads and pockets of open ground.
A Cheraga map poster captures a suburb in transition: the rolling ground of the Sahel, the web of connecting roads and the dense geometry of modern housing. In black and white, the mix of curves and rectangles makes a lively but balanced composition. It works well for families from Algiers, people returning from abroad and new homeowners.

New districts
Large residential developments form blocks of regular geometry, clearly distinct from the older, more organic streets. They show how the capital has spread westward.
Road links
Main roads and expressways connect Cheraga to central Algiers and nearby communes. They draw strong lines that tie the suburb into the wider metropolitan map.
