Cheyyar River
The broad riverbed runs past the town and is wide and sandy for much of the year. It gives the map a strong natural boundary, with bridges linking the two banks.

Cheyyar Map Poster & Print
Cheyyar lies in Tiruvannamalai district in northern Tamil Nadu, on the river of the same name, a tributary of the Palar. The town's older streets gather near the riverbank. On a map the wide, sandy course of the river forms a strong line along one side of the settlement, crossed by bridges that carry the main roads.
Like many towns in the region, Cheyyar has an old temple at its core, and the streets around it follow the familiar pattern of lanes running parallel to the temple walls. Further out, the grid loosens into residential areas and paddy fields, and irrigation tanks appear as rounded bodies of water in the surrounding landscape.
In recent years the area has also gained a large industrial estate, which adds broad, planned plots to the outskirts. A Cheyyar map poster brings these layers together in a clean black-and-white composition that feels both local and modern: the river, the temple streets, the tanks and fields and the newer industrial grid.

Temple streets
Around the old temple, the streets follow a rectangular pattern aligned with the sanctuary. This traditional South Indian layout reads clearly in fine line work.
Irrigation tanks
Rounded tanks scattered among the fields hold monsoon water for farming. On the map they appear as smooth shapes that balance the denser town centre.

Pourquoi Cheyyar

Cheyyar holds memories of festival days, river crossings and journeys to Kanchipuram or Chennai. A map brings the whole town into a single frame, which makes it a meaningful gift for relatives who have moved away or for anyone setting up a new home.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to your own text, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files cost $9 and cover six print sizes, or you can order a ready-printed matte poster.
