Shokanashini river
The river loops past the town. Its curving course gives the poster a natural centre line, and the roads and settlements arrange themselves around it.

Chittūr Map Poster & Print
Chittūr lies in the Palakkad district of Kerala, close to the Tamil Nadu border, within the broad lowland known as the Palakkad Gap. From above, the town sits along the Shokanashini river, often simply called the Chittur river. Its lanes wind between houses, temple grounds and coconut groves instead of forming a regular grid.
Around the built-up area, the land is a mosaic of paddy fields, and these make Palakkad one of Kerala's main rice regions. Chittūr is linked with Thunchath Ezhuthachan, often called the father of the Malayalam language, whose later years are associated with the Gurumadham here. The town forms a joint municipality with neighbouring Thathamangalam.
A Chittūr map poster reflects this soft, rural geometry: a winding river, a network of narrow roads and a field pattern that fades gradually into the countryside. It is less about grand avenues and more about texture, which translates well into the fine lines of a minimalist black-and-white print.

Paddy landscape
Rice fields surround Chittūr on most sides. They form wide open areas crossed by field paths and channels, and the map thins out toward its edges.
Winding lanes
Instead of a grid, the town is laced with narrow, curving roads that link neighbourhoods, temples and river landings, creating an intricate, organic texture.
