Çiğli Map Poster & Print
Çiğli is a district of İzmir on the northern side of the Gulf of İzmir, stretching across level ground between the water and the low hills inland. Its map reads as a sequence of broad residential blocks and wide avenues, most of them laid out in recent decades as the city expanded north around the bay.
To the west, the built area gives way to one of the most important coastal wetlands in Turkey. The Gediz Delta, with its salt pans, lagoons and marshes, is home to large flamingo colonies and a protected bird sanctuary known as the İzmir Bird Paradise. On a map the shoreline dissolves into channels and pools, a striking contrast to the rigid grid.
Çiğli also holds a large organised industrial zone, an air base and university campuses, each appearing as a clearly bounded shape among the streets. A suburban rail line runs through the district, linking it with the centre of İzmir. A Çiğli map poster shows a modern corner of the city, open to both the bay and the delta.

Large campuses
An industrial zone, an air base and a university each occupy big, sharply defined plots, adding bold geometric shapes to the residential pattern.

Pourquoi Çiğli
Une carte qui a du sens
For residents of İzmir's northern shore, Çiğli is home, commute and weekend walk to the delta all at once. A map of the district captures that mix of new neighbourhoods and wild edges in a way few photographs can.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a date or a few words in Turkish, then choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint gives the lagoons a particularly clear outline.
