La carte
Correia Pinto Map Poster & Print
Correia Pinto is in the Serra Catarinense, the high plateau of southern Brazil, a short distance north of Lages. The landscape here is rolling and open, with cool winters, grassland and stands of pine. On a map, the town stretches along the BR-116 highway, which runs north to south and forms the main spine of the settlement.
Residential streets branch away from the highway into a compact grid, with the edges of town quickly giving way to farm roads, forestry plantations and small watercourses in the valleys. In monochrome, the long highway line and the scattered patches of forest make a composition that is both linear and loosely textured.
A Correia Pinto map poster is a fitting print for people from the town and for anyone who knows the Serra Catarinense and its long drives across the plateau. It shows a small highland town honestly, with its main road, tidy blocks and the open country around them.
