Derry Map Poster & Print
Derry sits on the River Foyle in the northwest of Northern Ireland, and at the centre of its map is a feature few cities keep: a complete circuit of town walls. Built in the early seventeenth century, they enclose a small grid of streets on a hill, with gates and a central square where the main streets meet.
The Foyle runs in a wide bend past the city, and the map shows development on both banks. The Peace Bridge, a curving pedestrian and cycle bridge opened in 2011, links the west bank with the former military site at Ebrington on the east, and the older road bridges cross further along. Beyond the walls, neighbourhoods such as the Bogside spread over the surrounding slopes.
A Derry map poster highlights the contrast between the tight, fortified core and the wider city around it. The walls appear as a distinct oval outline, and the river gives the design a broad, flowing edge. It is a city whose history is visible in its layout at a glance.

River Foyle
The river curves widely past the city, separating the west and east banks and giving the map a strong natural line across the composition.
Peace Bridge
This curving footbridge crosses the Foyle between the city centre and Ebrington, appearing as a slender, sinuous line connecting the two banks.

Pourquoi Derry
Une carte qui a du sens
Derry's walls and river make it one of the most distinctive city shapes on the island of Ireland. A map poster lets you keep that outline on the wall as a record of home, of studies there, or of a visit that stayed with you.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, so you can use Derry, Londonderry or any wording that matters to you. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a digital file or a printed poster.
