La carte
Dodola Map Poster & Print
Dodola lies in the West Arsi Zone of Oromia, in the highlands of southern Ethiopia. The town sits at considerable altitude on rolling ground, with farmland and patches of forest around it and higher mountains to the east. On a map it appears as a modest grid of streets organised around the main road, which carries most of the town's traffic and trade.
The area is known for highland agriculture, with fields of grain spreading across the slopes, and for forests and mountain trails in the surrounding district. Dodola has been a starting point for community-based trekking in the nearby mountains, which brings occasional visitors from elsewhere in Ethiopia and abroad.
A Dodola map poster shows a town defined by its main road and the open land around it. Streets branch off in a loose grid, then quickly give way to tracks leading out into fields and hills. In black and white, the drawing is simple and spacious, a quiet portrait of a highland town.
