The Küstenkanal
The canal runs across the municipality as a long, straight line. It is the strongest single feature on the map and splits the landscape in two.

Edewecht Map Poster & Print
Edewecht lies in the Ammerland district of Lower Saxony, west of Oldenburg, in the flat country of north-western Germany. It is not one compact town but a group of villages spread across a wide, level landscape. From above, you see scattered settlements, long straight country roads and a finely divided pattern of fields and former moorland.
The most striking line on the map is the Küstenkanal, the canal linking the Ems and the Hunte, which cuts across the municipality in an almost perfectly straight line. Much of the land around it was once peat bog, later drained and cultivated. That history shows in the long, parallel field strips and drainage ditches.
An Edewecht map poster captures this quiet, orderly landscape: the villages, the canal and the geometry of reclaimed land. The Ammerland is also known for its tree and rhododendron nurseries, and the area around Edewecht is part of that horticultural landscape. The print suits anyone who knows the region and its long views.

Reclaimed moorland
Former bogs have been divided into long, narrow parcels by drainage ditches. From above, they form rows of parallel lines, a clear sign of the land's history.
Scattered villages
Instead of one centre, several villages are spread across the area. They are linked by straight country roads that form an open, well-spaced network.

Pourquoi Edewecht
Une carte qui a du sens
Edewecht makes an understated, graphic print. The flat land, straight canal and parallel fields create strong geometry that works well in modern interiors. It also means something personal to people from the Ammerland.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps naming your village, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Get the $9 HD files or a printed poster shipped from a nearby print partner.
