Eindhoven Map Poster & Print
Eindhoven grew out of a small market town and several surrounding villages that merged in the early twentieth century, and its map still shows that origin. Distinct districts with their own centres cluster around a compact core enclosed by a ring road. The River Dommel winds through green corridors from south to north across the city.
The city's growth is tied to Philips, which began making light bulbs here in 1891. Former industrial complexes such as Strijp-S are now creative and residential districts, and the saucer-shaped Evoluon remains a landmark. Eindhoven is also known for its technical university, its football club PSV and Dutch Design Week, held each autumn.
An Eindhoven map poster reveals a city of clearly defined parts: the ring, the river, the former factory grounds and the neighbourhoods built for workers. It suits engineers, designers and students who spent formative years here, and anyone who likes a map where the history of industry is written into the streets.

Dommel river

Strijp-S
The former Philips industrial site west of the centre keeps the large rectangular footprint of its factory halls, which have been converted into studios, homes and cultural spaces.

Pourquoi Eindhoven
Une carte qui a du sens
Eindhoven is where many careers in technology and design begin, and where students spend years at the university. A map of the city marks those formative years and the neighbourhoods that shaped them, in a quiet, graphic way.
Add a title, a subtitle with the years you lived there and your own coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download includes all six print sizes, among them 30×40 cm and 50×70 cm.
