Valley spine
The Emet stream runs through the valley that shapes the town, giving the map a natural axis along which the densest streets are gathered.

Emet Map Poster & Print
Emet sits in the hills of Kütahya province in western Turkey, along the valley of the Emet stream. The town's shape follows the lie of the land: a compact centre in the lower ground, with streets climbing gently up the surrounding slopes and thinning out into fields. Seen from above it reads as an elongated cluster rather than a grid, pulled along the line of the valley.
The district is best known for its boron deposits, among the most significant in Turkey, and mining areas appear on a wider map as large open clearings in the hills beyond the town. Emet is also known for its thermal springs, part of a broader tradition of hot-water bathing in the Kütahya region. Both give the surrounding landscape a character quite different from ordinary farming country.
An Emet map poster works best when the frame includes a little of the valley around the town, so the streets sit within the folds of the hills. In Blueprint or Noir the stream becomes a clear spine; in Paper or Sand the result is softer and warmer. Digital files are $9, with six print sizes in 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.

Hillside edges
Around the centre, streets rise onto the slopes and loosen into scattered buildings and fields, a gradual transition that shows well at larger print sizes.
Boron country
The district is known for boron mining, and in a wider frame the mine workings appear as broad open shapes in the hills, a reminder of what sustains the local economy.

Pourquoi Emet
Une carte qui a du sens
For people from Emet, the town is often remembered through its valley and its springs rather than any single landmark. A map poster captures that setting whole, and it makes a considered gift for family members who have moved to Kütahya, Istanbul or abroad.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, whether with the town's name, a family name or a date. Pick from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and order a printed poster or download the HD files.
