Fareham Creek
The creek reaches in from Portsmouth Harbour as a slim, tapering channel. It ends near the town centre and gives the map its main watery line.

Fareham Map Poster & Print
Fareham grew up where the small Wallington river meets Fareham Creek, the northwestern arm of Portsmouth Harbour. On a map the creek is the anchor. It is a narrow tidal channel pushing inland to the old town, with residential streets fanning out across the land between Southampton and Portsmouth.
The historic High Street, lined with Georgian buildings, runs north from the centre. Newer shopping streets and a ring of roads sit around it. To the east rises Portsdown Hill, a long chalk ridge. The M27 crosses the landscape north of the centre, and Portchester, with its Roman fort walls, lies along the harbour shore within the borough.
A Fareham map poster captures this layered setting: a winding creek, an old market core, twentieth-century estates and the motorway line. In black and white the tidal water gives the composition a clear direction. The design suits people who grew up here or who commute through the Solent area daily.

High Street
The Georgian High Street keeps the old north–south spine of the market town. It shows up as a straight, historic axis among later, curving streets.
Portsdown Hill
To the east, the long chalk ridge of Portsdown Hill stands above the harbour. Roads skirt its slopes, and its open crest shows as quiet space on a wider crop.
