Formby Map Poster & Print
Formby lies on the Sefton coast in north-west England, between Liverpool and Southport. On the map the town sits a little way back from the sea, behind a broad belt of sand dunes and pine woodland. Its residential streets form a gentle, suburban pattern of crescents and closes, with the Merseyrail line running north to south through the middle.
The coastline at Formby Point is dynamic, and the dunes shift over time. Much of this land is looked after by the National Trust, and the pinewoods are known as one of the remaining homes of the red squirrel in England. At low tide, ancient human and animal footprints are sometimes exposed in layers of silt on the beach.
A Formby map poster captures the contrast between the settled town and the open coast. Rows of houses give way to the irregular shapes of dunes and woodland, and then to a wide beach and sea. It is a quieter map than a city centre, with a generous amount of space on the seaward side.

Pourquoi Formby
Une carte qui a du sens
For people who walked the dunes as children, moved here for the coast or still take the train into Liverpool, this map sums up Formby: a green town set a short walk from open sand. It suits a hallway or a room with a view of the sea.
You can choose your own title and subtitle, add a date such as a move or an anniversary, and edit the coordinates line. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the dunes and the beach particularly well.
