Ghela river
The river runs past the town in a gentle curve, its banks marking the edge of the old settlement and giving the map its one strong natural line.

Gadhada Map Poster & Print
Gadhada lies in the Botad district of Gujarat, on the flat, open plain of Saurashtra where fields stretch out in every direction. The town hugs the Ghela river, and on a map its oldest part appears as a dense cluster of short, irregular lanes near the water, with newer housing and roads spreading outward in a looser, more open pattern.
It holds a special place in the Swaminarayan faith. Swaminarayan lived in Gadhada for many years at the court of Dada Khachar, and the Gopinathji temple built here in the early nineteenth century remains a major place of pilgrimage. The temple complex and its surroundings form one of the most clearly defined shapes within the town's otherwise tightly knit fabric.
Outside the town, straight rural roads connect it to nearby villages and to Botad, drawn as thin lines across largely open ground. A Gadhada map poster keeps that proportion honest: a compact knot of streets, a river curve and the wide plain around it, with plenty of quiet space left on the sheet.

Temple quarter
The Gopinathji temple complex, closely tied to Swaminarayan's life, stands out as a larger enclosed footprint among the narrow, closely packed lanes of the historic centre.
Saurashtra plain
Beyond the last houses, rural roads fan out across flat farmland toward surrounding villages, leaving broad open space around the compact urban core.
