The founding grid
Square blocks laid out in regular rows give the centre its even rhythm, a textbook example of the planned towns founded across the Argentine pampa in the late nineteenth century.

La carte
General Acha Map Poster & Print
General Acha sits in the south-east of La Pampa province, where Argentine farmland starts to give way to drier scrub. From above, the town is a regular grid of square blocks. Streets meet at right angles and run to the edge of town, where they turn into rural roads and fence lines. The level ground leaves the plan almost unbroken.
Founded in 1882 and named after General Mariano Acha, the town was the first capital of the National Territory of La Pampa Central, before the seat of government moved to Santa Rosa around the turn of the twentieth century. That early role explains a planned, orderly centre. A main square anchors the grid, and a few wider avenues cut through the repeating blocks.
A General Acha map poster turns that plan into a quiet graphic study. Short streets fill the centre densely, then the pattern thins towards the edges, where blocks open into lots and the long regional roads leave for the horizon. In black and white, the town reads as a clear, deliberate mark placed on a very wide landscape.

Central square
A plaza sits within the grid as its civic heart, a small open rectangle that the surrounding streets frame from all four sides.
Roads to the plain
At the town's edge the streets become straight rural roads, drawing long lines across the flat, open country that surrounds General Acha on every side.

Pourquoi General Acha
Une carte qui a du sens
For families with roots in La Pampa, or anyone who grew up among these even blocks, the map brings back a place defined by space and straight lines. It also marks the town's early years as the territory's first capital, a detail worth keeping on the wall.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a family name or a year that matters, then pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Each one gives the grid a different weight.
