Gohad Map Poster & Print
Gohad lies in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, in the flat country north-east of Gwalior. From above, the town has a clear old centre, where narrow lanes cluster together, and several roads lead outwards across farmland. There is no river or hill to shape it, so the layout follows older paths and the growth of markets and neighbourhoods over time.
The town is known for its fort, built by the Jat rulers of Gohad, who controlled the area in the eighteenth century and were rivals of the Marathas and the Scindias of Gwalior. The fort complex remains the town's main landmark. On a detailed map, its large, walled footprint stands out clearly from the fine grain of the surrounding streets.
A Gohad map poster pairs that historic footprint with the everyday pattern of a working market town. The fort gives the composition an anchor, the older lanes add dense detail, and the roads to Bhind and Gwalior draw long lines across the open plain. It is a quiet, grounded image of a place with a proud local history.
