Goyerkāta Map Poster & Print
Goyerkāta lies in Jalpaiguri district in the far north of West Bengal, in the Dooars, the strip of plains at the foot of the eastern Himalayas. The mountains are close to the north, and rivers flow out of them across the plain in wide, braided channels. The town is a compact cluster of streets on this flat ground.
The landscape around it is very recognisable from above. Tea gardens cover large areas, with their plantation roads and estate boundaries, and between them are villages, farmland, and patches of forest. The main road and railway run across the Dooars, and the town has grown around them. Its own street network is small and informal, denser in the centre and thinning quickly.
The Dooars are known for tea and for forests and wildlife reserves nearby. A Goyerkāta map poster shows a small town in that landscape: a knot of streets on a main route, with rivers and plantations around it, drawn in simple black lines that let the pattern of the region come through.

Himalayan rivers
Rivers from the hills cross the plains in wide channels. Their loose, braided shapes contrast with the town's short streets.
Tea estates
Plantation roads and estate paths make regular patterns around the town, showing how much of the landscape is given over to tea.
